1. Choose Your Membership Level:
Decide which membership option best fits your needs. While we offer various tiers—such as individual, student, family, or corporate—all memberships are currently free. (Please note: This may change in the future, depending on fundraising efforts, but it will remain free for at least the next year.)
2. Complete the Application:
Fill out our online membership application. We’ll ask for basic contact information, areas of interest, and any relevant experience to help us tailor our resources and programs.
3. Attend an Orientation:
After your application is reviewed, we’ll invite you to an orientation session. You’ll learn about our facility layout, tool usage, safety procedures, and the opportunities available at Waukesha Makerspace.
4. Review the Code of Conduct:
Before fully engaging in our community, we ask all members to carefully read our Code of Conduct and agree to uphold its principles. These guidelines promote a respectful, safe, and inclusive environment for everyone.
5. Complete the Membership Liability Waiver:
All members are required to sign our liability waiver, acknowledging potential risks associated with using tools and equipment. This helps protect both you and the makerspace, ensuring that all activities are conducted responsibly.
6. Get Involved and Start Creating:
Congratulations! You’re now officially a member of Waukesha Makerspace. Explore our tools, join workshops, attend events, and collaborate with fellow makers. Your participation is key to keeping our community vibrant and innovative.
